The Iberville Parish Sheriff's
Office currently has twenty full time dispatchers. Twelve are assigned
to central dispatch located in Plaquemine, four are assigned to the St.
Gabriel sub-station, and four are assigned to the Maringouin sub-station.
All major calls are dispatched through central communications. The
dispatchers work a rotating schedule that cycles every two weeks. Two
teams work seven days and the other two teams work seven nights with every
other weekend off. The shifts are twelve hours and start at 6 a.m. and
6 p.m.
